The Top Floor Of The Rockpile

From the front deck you can see from Kings Beach to beyond South Tahoe, whereas the side deck extends that view all the way to Crystal Bay.

The perfect place to have lunch or take in the sunset. The only part of the lake you can't see from The Rockpile is into Crystal Bay.

The Front Hall looking from the end of the hallway
back towards the front door.

The Front Hall looking through the Front Door.

The livingroom looking West, towards Tahoe City.

The view from the dining table is superb.

A view of the livingroom looking North. One of the sofas is a Queen sofabed and the other is slightly larger than a standard twin bed.

A close-up of the hand-made carved table that is between the sofas is an underwater scene, a fisherman's delight.

A rustic mountain scene complete with a burning fire.

This is the kitchen looking towards the bar and door which goes out to the side deck where the BBQ is. A well-known chef and cookbook writer outfitted and used this kitchen for many years of testing recipes for his 30+ books.

The kitchen from the bar area. This kitchen has just about every piece of equipment you might need (microwave oven, blender, Kitchenaid mixer, Cuisinart, mini-Cuisinart, rice cooker, electric juicer, coffee maker, coffee grinder, and more. )

The Bar Area with a wide variety of attractive glasses.

There's a great lake view from the kitchen window.

The Main Bedroom: This room has a 52" TV, lodge pole pine dresser, a large closet, and a lake view.

The details in this house are wonderful;
here is an antique door latch.

The Main Bedroom's Bathroom and Sauna.

A walkway from the back deck, past the kitchen, goes to this deck which looks south and east. It has a tall bistro table with 2 chairs to catch the early morning sun, as well as a gas barbeque.

The back deck is nestled into the boulders, a fact you will appreciate on those frequent summer afternoons when the wind comes up. This deck has a view to the east.
